=The science of editing=

Between them, Wikipedia:Editing scientific articles and {{tl|ESCA}} have managed to create a fair amount of drama across Wikipedia in the last couple of days. A lengthy thread at the incidents noticeboard discussed whether User:Count Iblis was intentionally spamming Template:ESCA onto the talk pages of a number of physics articles. The page itself quickly received the attention of a number of editors, and a consensus was reached that Wikipedia:Editing scientific articles was not a guideline and was in conflict with Wikipedia:No original research. A consensus to delete Template:Esca also seems emergent at templates for discussion.

  • Should we have spoiler warnings? Although spoiler warnings have been deprecated on Wikipedia, it has been suggested in a lengthy discussion at the village pump that they should be re-implemented.
