=Wikipedia iPhone app updated=
The Wikimedia Foundation has updated the official "Wikipedia Mobile" iPhone app, first released in August 2009. New features include an improved layout, bookmarkable articles, and plotting geolocated articles near to the user's location on a map. =New user interface to be deployed on May 13=
The rollout of the new user interface will take place on 5:00am UTC on May 13, as [http://techblog.wikimedia.org/2010/05/the-change-in-interface-is-coming-part-2/ announced] on May 1st by Naoko Komura from the User Experience team. The process is expected to take two to three hours. Details of the changes had already been described in a March 25 announcement (see earlier Signpost coverage). Users who prefer the old interface will be able to deactivate the new features easily (see FAQ). On Commons, the default skin had already been switched to the new interface on April 5.
