What sources are used in the Reliable Source custom Google search engine? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:50, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
:I can't find a list but according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:A_Quest_For_Knowledge#Your_Reliable_Sources_custom_search_engine it seems to have been made by @A_Quest_For_Knowledge. RayScript (talk) 17:17, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
::According to a more recent discussion, user Barkeep49 has access to the list. Dexxor (talk) 08:42, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
:::I think there might be more than one version of this floating around. For the [https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=007070770218907550030:2te8fbobqno version I made] I am the only contributor to it. It has definitely not been recently updated (though I did just remove CNET). Here is the complete list of what it currently searches.

Reliable Sources Search Engine
@User:A Quest For Knowledge and @Northamerica1000, do you know if the Reliable Sources Search Engine is being maintained? Superb Owl (talk) 21:34, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
Additional general reliable sources search engine
@Barkeep49, do you know if [https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=007070770218907550030:2te8fbobqno this search engine] that you had added [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Reliable%20sources/Perennial%20sources&oldid=887300560 back in 2019] to Perennial Sources article is being maintained? Superb Owl (talk) 21:37, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
:@Superb Owl it has not been updated in quite some time and has been towards the top of my to do list - maybe even for today - for a while now. Barkeep49 (talk) 15:44, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
::@Barkeep49 I went ahead and moved it from Perennial sources over to this page alongside all the other custom search engines I could find to make it easier to get a broader view of all the engines out there and improve collaboration. Do you have a project page for it by chance?
I've also been helping Wikipedia Reference Search update their engine as well, so let me know if I can help with yours too (I published a full list of reliable sources that I'm using in my engine here) Superb Owl (talk) 16:14, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
:::I just saw your list above of the 56 sources you included - the only one that is no longer generally reliable is Fox News but the others are still generally reliable. Do you know how much traffic the search engine is getting? Superb Owl (talk) 04:09, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
''The Observer'' is no longer owned by ''The Guardian'', so it needs to be separately added to these search engines
The Guardian sold The Observer in December 2024, so the latter will no longer come up on these search engines. Could someone alert all the creators of these engines and have them add The Observer to the engine they manage?
I noticed this on a recent deep dive I did wherein Observer results were present and very relevant but did not come up on these wiki-created engines, even though it is still a reliable source.
Thank you, Softlavender (talk) 06:30, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
:I added it to the Reliable Source Engine but please update this thread if the url or its reliability changes, etc. Superb Owl (talk) 23:46, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
