[[Wikipedia:WikiProject Risk|WikiProject Risk]] invitation

This is a formal invitation to help build out the new WikiProject Risk, which has significant overlap with this WikiProject. Due to the breadth of the concept of 'risk', many articles that have broad applications are silo'd into specific subjects. Those interested in the generalization and proper organization of risk management principles on Wikipedia may find like-minded editors there. Tule-hog (talk) 23:12, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

University of Edinburgh assignment - Global Health Challenges Pg Online

Dear all, this is just to flag up that several students on the Global Health Challenges Pg Online course will be researching and improving (in groups) approximately seven stub articles related to WikiProject Disaster management this month. Namely:

  1. 2024 Western megafires
  2. 1983 famine in Ghana
  3. 2016-17 Zimbabwe floods
  4. 2021 Atami landslide
  5. 2005 Kashmir earthquake
  6. 1988 Nepal earthquake
  7. 1976 Manfredonia accidental release of arsenic

So if you see a flurry of activity on these pages in the coming days then don't worry it is not an attack it is just new student editors trying to help improve and expand these articles using their research. If possible please avoid reverts and provide constructive criticism to help the students learn where they be going wrong whether it is wording, style guidelines or formatting or the types of sources being used etc. Hopefully any issues should be minor in nature but any problems or questions, please ask! Thanks, Stinglehammer 86.167.178.121 (talk) 17:12, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
