Pictogr

If we choose to adopt pictograms, they should be black SVG icons with transparent backgrounds. One idea could be:

  • Solid: A black cube, like 20px
  • Liquid: A black teardrop, like 20px
  • Gas: A black cloud, like 20px
  • Unknown phase: A black question mark, like 20px

::Nice. Black & transparant is good. Maybe simplify to 2D image? The info-crowded PT has little subtlety left for 3D images.

::To consider: leave out the 'unknown' image altogether?

::Incidentally, privately I have used the drop indeed :-) , and a rectangle for solid. The gases with me are some seven dots. The nice thing is, in RL (wallpaper PT) these symbols are recognisable, and even the pattern, gases grouping that is, I did see in the overview (but that could be me, familiar with the topic...). -DePiep (talk) 18:08, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

:::I like the idea, but I'd like to see how they work in practice as a demo. Double sharp (talk) 03:33, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
