United Fight League
There’s a new MMA league I follow that’s starting to make a significant impact in the MMA world, but I noticed it doesn’t yet have a Wikipedia article. The league is called United Fight League. While I plan to prepare and potentially draft the article myself down the line, as a new Wikipedian, I would prefer to contribute to an existing draft or published version first. Is anyone working on one already? Thank you in advance to anyone that sees this and replies. Globalwriter88 (talk) 04:39, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
Ronnie Mann - good article reassessment
Ronnie Mann is classed as a good article, but that assessment was done in 2010. I don't think it meets the 2025 Wikipedia:Good article criteria. Reliable sourcing was mentioned as an issue during the GA assessment in 2010 too. Since the GA reassessment says "editors should prioritize bringing an article up to standard above delisting", I'm bringing it up to the relevant Wikiproject. I don't have the time to do all the research and work to bring it up to standard, I'm not sure if it would pass then. However, maybe someone else does. If it isn't improved, it should be reassessed. :Comment: Crazy how in 15 years an article can go from being labeled GA to probably barely passing GNG. Nswix (talk) 21:10, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

Patrik Kincl
I saw Patrik Kincl article being nominated for deletion too soon. Yes, the article failed WP:NMMA, but what if it even had information and sources meeting GNG? Since users cannot write more than one Deletion Review, I need to clarify all three AfD nominations of this person here.
As I've said on Deletion Review, the first nomination ended in Keep for multiple secondary sources demonstrating notability. The second ended in Delete with the nominator thinking those provided were interviews without independent analysis. The third nomination, mistakenly written as "3nd", had the same reasons as the second, except it was nominated for AfD too soon without even checking on whether or not the "additional" sources in the first one met WP:GNG.
There are of course unlikely to be coverage in English-language news media, since Kincl is hardly-known by sport enthusiasts outside the Czech Republic. Did the nominator forget to use a translator while checking, or were they even doing a proper WP:BEFORE?
