Navbox builder script
: One possible approach here is to build a tool to place hidden tags pointing to categories. Then the category harvester comes along and reads those tags, replacing the current content in a particular section (the previous fetch) with the current membership of the category specified in the tag in that section. JL-Bot uses a similar approach with maintaining Recognized content sections.

::: You place a tag in the form of a standard-formatted hidden comment before and after the location you want the material to go. JL-Bot tags look like this:
:::
::: Naturally, tags for placing category members would include the category name, so that the bot or script would know where to get the content. — The Transhumanist 23:27, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
::::OK, I have used that before. It seems to work well enough for some applications. Categories in general tend to be a bit less predictable regarding content than some of the more specialised maintenance categories. I don't know if this would be sufficient filtering to get generally usable lists. I suspect that most of the time some human oversight will be necessary. Could still be a useful tool. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 09:29, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
A new newsletter directory is out!
A new Newsletter directory has been created to replace the [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:List_of_newsletters&oldid=891896284 old, out-of-date one]. If your WikiProject and its taskforces have newsletters (even inactive ones), or if you know of a missing newsletter (including from sister projects like [https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page WikiSpecies]), please include it in the directory! The template can be a bit tricky, so if you need help, just post the newsletter on the template's talk page and someone will add it for you.

Dear Project Members,
I proposed a new template which integrates Wikidata external IDs in Wikipedia to channel in reliable sources as further readings - please weigh in on the idea if you have the time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)?fbclid=IwAR1jjICvpWSSSqYwzT9IsSjMJxfZ7-vLoGjE2U4BB_zPVTg8EJSQ0qylqHQ#A_new_use_for_Wikidata_external_IDs_in_Wikipedia_(template)
