Judgemental language

This stub has been unreferenced and unimproved for 15 years. I think it's been mis-tagged as well. Can somebody please think of the children, and add a few reliable sources? Thanks. I've cross-listed thus at WP:Psych. Bearian (talk) 20:21, 22 March 2025 (UTC)

:I've looked at the article and nominated it for deletion. As best I can tell, judgmental language is not standardly classified as a fallacy. (Or, if anyone has good sources to the contrary and can update the article a little bit, I'll happily withdraw the nomination.) Cheers, Patrick (talk) 18:44, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Article needing urgent attention

Theism is a level 4 vital article. It is also a very commonly used word in various religious/philosophical debates. Despite all of this, the article is in an abysmal state, being rated as "start-class" (the second lowest rating on the Wikipedia content assessment scale). This article would greatly benefit from some improvements. Brent Silby (talk) 22:33, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Uses of trigonometry

While reviewing math articles, I tripped over the article Uses of trigonometry which seems to be some kind of original research into the history of trigonometry, or the sociology of it, or some history of engineering, or I don't know what. It's certainly terrible as a math article per se, and I'm not sure what to do with it. It could be PRODed and AfD'ed of course, but perhaps it could be turned into a worthwhile article in epistomology or something like that. I'm posting this note in several other wikiprojects, as I'm not sure what else to do with it. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 05:01, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Requesting feedback on List of pre-Socratic philosophers

I've been creating List of pre-Socratic philosophers over the last two weeks and would appreciate if anyone else knowledgeable in the area wanted to look it over or keep an eye on it. Given its scope and the fact that I'm summarizing all of these figures in just a few sentences each, it would be good to have a few more eyes on it to catch any mistakes I might make or any possible improvements on the descriptions or organization. Any feedback at Talk:List of pre-Socratic philosophers or just through editing the article would be appreciated! Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 00:56, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

Definist fallacy deletion discussion

The current article (which IMO is very poor) seems to essentially be about one particular critique of Moore's conception of the naturalistic fallacy, and as such I think the topic would be better discussed (if at all) in a section on the Naturalistic fallacy article. I've accordingly made a deletion discussion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Definist_fallacy ExplodingCabbage (talk) 16:31, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Image of Cayster River for Heraclitus article

I asked for a Carnap picture and Shapeyness sure found one quickly. Can anyone find a free photo of the Cayster River which depicts movement? I can't seem to find a satisfactory one. The Halys River image is better associated with Thales, but no picture of the Cayster has the same dynamism. Cake (talk) 02:59, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
