Removing WWE.com profiles
Hello. A quick question. As yoy may know, we include WWE.com profiles on the Extrnal link section. However, the past few months I have seen some IPs/users removing the link once the wrestler is released. What do you think, should we remove the profile once the wrestler leaves or keep it in the section? [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dakota_Kai&diff=prev&oldid=1288526252] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aliyah_(wrestler)&diff=prev&oldid=1287219097] --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:13, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
:We usually cite WWE profiles as citation for ring name, billed height, and hometown. So using them as external link is just redundant because WWE profiles are very basic (only good for the mentioned stats), and WWE.com itself does not show all stuff related to a wrestler's career in the company (not a good archive). In my opinion, official website (if available), {{tl|Professional wrestling profiles}}, and IMDb are enough. --Mann Mann (talk) 01:51, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
::Or {{tl|WWE superstar}} could become a part of {{tl|Professional wrestling profiles}}. --Mann Mann (talk) 02:11, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Yeah, I've had a proposal in my drafts to merge all of the wrestling profiles into Module:Professional wrestling profiles for around a year now, but never finished it. Here's a list of all of the profile templates that I wanted to either merge or delete:
:::* {{tl|WWE superstar}}
:::* {{tl|Roh roster}} — Their website no longer supports profiles
:::* {{tl|NJPW profile}}
:::* {{tl|Gfw profile}} — Defunct promotion; their website is now dead
:::* {{tl|Dragongateusa profile}} — Defunct promotion; their website is now dead
:::* {{tl|Chikara profile}} — Defunct promotion; their website no longer supports profiles
:::* {{tl|Wrestlingtitlesperson}}
:::* {{tl|Cagematch}} — Already redundant
:::I'm still down to complete this if others agree. Prefall 02:33, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
::::ROH template and those defunct/dead websites should be avoided. NJPW has a big issue. It does not have the alumni section and it does not archive profile of its former wrestlers. Does {{tl|Wrestlingtitlesperson}} work? In my opinion, only WWE is OK. --Mann Mann (talk) 07:25, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
:::This seems like the best solution to me. McPhail (talk) 08:09, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
::::{{Ping|Prefall}} Go for it. Just add WWE for now (per my above comment). --Mann Mann (talk) 07:29, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::Done. We should remove redundant {{tl|WWE superstar}} templates from various pages now. Prefall 08:53, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
::::::Thanks Prefall! McPhail (talk) 08:49, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

Zelina Vega's height
In December 2024, an IP range changed the subject's 'billed height' to 4'11 twice [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zelina_Vega&diff=1266153608&oldid=1264341122] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zelina_Vega&diff=prev&oldid=1266178153]. I reverted them citing WP:BRD and ESPN being WP:PW/RS compliant. Today, possibly the same person, changed it again, but used Vega's verified twitter handle [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zelina_Vega&diff=1291918792&oldid=1291146813] in support (mentioned in edit summary only). Not sure what to do with it. Technically the 'billed height' should not be same as the 'real height' which apparently was quoted by the subject in the tweet. Suggestions? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:02, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:On Wikipedia, per WP:PRIMARY, we avoid primary sources when possible, particularly social media. Her stated height should reflect reliable, secondary sources, not an in-character social media post. CeltBrowne (talk) 15:43, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:Her billed height is the height she is billed at. Her legitimate height is irrelevant. McPhail (talk) 16:42, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:Billed height =/= Real height. So Vega's claim does not matter in this case (infobox parameter). --Mann Mann (talk) 04:57, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
Adding a team membership parameter to [[Template:Infobox professional wrestler]]
I think parameters for past and present faction, stable, and/or tag team memberships should be added, the same as how Template:Infobox musical artist has past and present parameters for band memberships. I tried getting support for this by starting a discussion at Template talk:Infobox professional wrestler, but I couldn't get enough people to establish consensus one way or the other, and I was hoping I might have better luck here. Charles Essie (talk) 23:54, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
:That would be a lot of unnecessary clutter in my opinion. There are no problems with how it is now. Some people are in lots of teams over their career. It would just lead to endless edit warring over what to include. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 00:17, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
::It doesn't seem to be a problem for musicians and there are far more bands out there than wrestling teams. Charles Essie (talk) 00:34, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Most musicians are only in one notable band, however. Wrestlers can be in many more groups over their careers. — Czello (music) 10:38, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
::::One band might be the most notable, but it's rarely the only one. For example, look at the infoboxes of Phil Anselmo, Dave Lombardo or Tim "Ripper" Owens, they've each been in at least a dozen bands. Charles Essie (talk) 14:01, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
:It just adds excessive details and non-notable content to the infobox especially considering a promotion like AEW/ROH loves to create dozens of those short-lived groups, stables, factions, and tag teams. --Mann Mann (talk) 04:55, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
::Are you saying that individual wrestlers have been in that many teams or are you just saying that there's been a lot of teams? Charles Essie (talk) 05:27, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
Fatal Influence Part II
Jacy Jayne is the NXT Women's Champion and Fallon Henley is a former NXT Women's North American Champion, and both achieved their championships as the members of Fatal Influence (currently a redirect). So does FI pass as a notable group/stable to have its own article? Considering their title wins and 9-month of TV appearances on both WWE and TNA. --Mann Mann (talk) 03:17, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
