[[Wikipedia:Proposed deletion|Proposed deletion]] of [[:Srinivasa Higher Secondary School, Melaiyur]]
The article :Srinivasa Higher Secondary School, Melaiyur has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GNG and WP:NSCHOOL. Several searches with Google and sub-engines show nothing besides social media posts and Wikimapia, which both fail WP:SELFPUB. TL;DR, no sources, no notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
The Red house School, Norfolk, run like a cult
Probably needs an article. Run by the Danish group Tvind..All over the news today., eg [https://news.sky.com/video/sky-news-investigates-the-childrens-home-run-by-a-cult-like-group-of-teachers-13325637 link] Doug Weller talk 18:32, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
:What news? Got a link? HiLo48 (talk) 01:39, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
::HiLo48 I have added the word link to Doug Weller's post. TSventon (talk) 02:06, 13 March 2025 (UTC)
:::Thanks. I'm guessing I managed to add it with my iPad, then clumsily deleted it. Doug Weller talk 08:44, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

New school on site
Recently, Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School was demolished to make way for the new Frayser High School. Should this school have its own separate article once it becomes notable enough, or should it be added into the existing article, with the old logo and enrollment info being moved to the history section? ElToAn123 (talk) 01:48, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
:Either option would be fine. On the one hand, the new school appears to be more of a "hard reset" then a continuation of the old school, so that would make creating a separate article reasonable. However, the current article content is pretty short and could easily be folded into the "history" section of the new school. Unless the older school can be more fully fleshed out, I think keeping it in one article may be the better option. Stedil (talk) 00:42, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
Niche.com rankings
I noticed [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sanford_School&diff=prev&oldid=1289009374 this edit] adding rankings by Niche (company). Is this is a reliable source, or even necessary on school articles? Their [https://www.niche.com/k12/rankings/methodology/ methodology] relies partly on subjective data. --Magnolia677 (talk) 11:25, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
:I don't see much value in including the Niche ratings in school or city articles. They don't carry much significance outside of representing that company's opinion, and their use in articles is often a means of promoting the school or city. Stedil (talk) 00:42, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
::I would personally only mention a Niche ranking if a newspaper article done by a journalist hired by the newspaper and/or a freelancer, subject to the newspaper's editorial conditions, commented on that. Other than that, I wouldn't mention Niche rankings. Self-published material does not factor into this. WhisperToMe (talk) 23:59, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
