Willem Kersters (9 February 1929 in Antwerp – 29 December 1998 in Antwerp) was a Belgian composer, music educator and musician.Emile Wennekes, Mark Delaere Contemporary Music in the Low Countrie 2006 p.82 ".. Willem Kersters (1929-1998) linked these new techniques with the old principle of tonality, " He is in particular known for his wind music.The Clarinet- Volume 10 1982- Page 10 "Willem Kersters, the Belgian composer, is well known for his wind music; however, his Septet, Op. 37 for E-flat clarinet, two B-flat clarinets, bass clarinet, two percussionists and piano is little known."
