William Charles Linnaeus Martin (1798–1864) was an English naturalist.

Biography

William Charles Linnaeus Martin was the son of William Martin (naturalist) and his wife, Mary.Woodward, B. B., and Yolanda Foote. Martin was the curator of the museum of the Zoological Society of London from 1830 to 1838,{{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160305220342/https://www.darwinproject.ac.uk/letter |access-date=16 March 2023 |date=March 5, 2016}} when he lost his appointment due to financial cutbacks. Martin died on 15 February 1864 at his home in Kent leaving a widow. He was a fellow of the Linnean Society.
