The Rt Rev William Arthur Holbech (14 December 1850 – 7 March 1930) was an Anglican bishop in the first half of the 20th century.{{citation needed|date=April 2018}}
Born on 14 December 1850, he was the third son of the Rev. Charles Holbech.{{Who's Who|title=Holbech, Rt Rev. Following a curacy at St Mark’s, Lakenham,[http://farm1.static.flickr.com/39/113717650_fcea290eab.jpg?v=0 Church photo] Holbech emigrated to South Africa where he was a Mission Priest before promotion to be the Archdeacon of Kimberley{{cite book | last=Malden Richard (ed) | title= Crockford's Clerical Directory for 1920 (51st edn) | location= London | publisher= The Field Press| pages=1320| year=1920 }} and Rector of St Cyprian's Church (where he served through the Siege of Kimberley), then Dean of Bloemfontein.[http://www.historicalpapers.wits.ac.za/inventory.php?iid=7442 University of the Witwatersrand] In 1905 he became Bishop of St Helena,The Times, Tuesday, 1 August 1905; pg. 8; Issue 37774; col B Ecclesiastical Intelligence a post he held until his death on 7 March 1930.
