William J. Hartman is a United States Army lieutenant general who has served as the acting commander of United States Cyber Command, director of the National Security Agency, and chief of the Central Security Service since 3 April 2025, and as the deputy commander of the United States Cyber Command since 16 January 2024. On 3 April 2025, Timothy D. Haugh, the director of the National Security Agency, was removed from his position.
