The Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC) is a collegiate athletic conference made up primarily of the branch campuses of the Universities of Wisconsin as well as one private college. The conference currently sponsors men's basketball and women's volleyball and formerly sponsored in co-ed soccer, women's basketball, men's tennis, and men's golf.{{Cite web |title=Tennis |url=http://www.wccwis.org/page/show/1991069-tennis |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160123031524/http://www.wccwis.org/page/show/1991069-tennis |url-status=usurped |archive-date=January 23, 2016 |access-date=2020-06-05 |website=Wisconsin Collegiate Conference |language=en-us}}{{Cite web |title=Golf |url=http://www.wccwis.org/page/show/2112074-golf |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160111014350/http://www.wccwis.org/page/show/2112074-golf |url-status=usurped |archive-date=January 11, 2016 |access-date=2020-06-05 |website=Wisconsin Collegiate Conference |language=en-us}} All schools are considered junior colleges and athletes are only eligible for two years.
In 2020, after all schools suspended athletic events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WCC went on hiatus. Ahead of the 2021–22 season, the satellite campuses of UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Stevens Point formed a new conference, the Wisconsin Competitive Sports League.{{Cite web |last= |first= |date=2021-04-13 |title=Athletics returns to two-year campuses for UWO, UWGB and UWSP |url=https://uwosh.edu/today/96056/athletics-returns-to-two-year-campus-for-uwo-uwgb-and-uwsp/ |access-date=2023-10-18 |website=UW Oshkosh Today |language=en-US}}
The WCC returned for the 2023–24 season, with only the Oshkosh, Stevens Point, Whitewater, and Platteville campuses returning (apart from Platteville's Richland campus, which closed in 2023). The only sports that returned were volleyball and men's basketball.{{Cite web |title=Sports |url=http://www.wccwis.com/page/show/8007293-sports |access-date=2023-10-18 |website=Wisconsin Collegiate Conference |language=en-us}} The junior varsity men's basketball squad at Bryant & Stratton College's Wisconsin campuses also joined, becoming the first campus outside the UW System to join the conference.{{Cite web |title=Men's Basketball |url=http://www.wccwis.com/page/show/8007300-men-s-basketball |access-date=2023-10-18 |website=Wisconsin Collegiate Conference |language=en-us}} Following the season UW-Oshkosh's Fond du Lac campus closed, while Whitewater's Rock County campus left for the NJCAA and added more sports.{{Cite web |title=Competitive Sports {{!}} UW-Whitewater at Rock County |url=https://www.uww.edu/rock/students/competitive-sports/volleyball |access-date=2024-11-10 |website=www.uww.edu}}
