Wodnika is an extinct genus of ctenacanth which lived in the Late Permian period in the present area of Germany and Russia. It measured about 1 m (3.2 ft) in length and its tail shape indicates it was probably a good swimmer. Internally, the cartilage skeleton is preserved on the fossil, which is fairly rare for fossilized shark-like chondrichthyans.{{cite web |url=http://www.nhm.ac.uk/about-us/news/2008/july/rare-british-shark-fossil-joins-collection18285.html |title=Rare British shark fossil joins collection {{!}} Natural History Museum |website=www.nhm.ac.uk |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100602143308/http://www.nhm.ac.uk/about-us/news/2008/july/rare-british-shark-fossil-joins-collection18285.html |archive-date=2010-06-02}}
