Described as "tongue crackling candy" or "exploding chocolate", the bar's ingredients included milk chocolate and popping candy.{{cite news|url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-538854.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20121023003021/http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-538854.html|url-status=dead|archive-date=October 23, 2012|title=Chew On This; We Test a New Exploding Candy Bar|last=Shen|first=Fern|date=August 23, 2000|newspaper=The Washington Post|access-date=2009-01-19}}

The bar was likely inspired by a similar "exploding candy" gag from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The bar was discontinued in 2005, but was re-released as "Tinglerz" in 2008.
