World One was built at an estimated cost of over US $321 million. Construction began in 2011, and was initially said to be {{convert|442|m|ft|0|abbr=on}} tall.{{CTBUH|id=16252|title=World View|access-date=23 August 2018}} However, the developer failed to obtain approval from the Airports Authority of India for that height; the project was then stalled for a few years. World One's architect is Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the structural engineer is Leslie E. In 2010, the developer announced the construction of the World One tower at the site of the defunct mill. The Lodha Group would also construct the World View tower and the World Crest tower, on the same site, as part of the project. The interior of the tower was designed by Giorgio Armani, and includes a swimming pool, gym and health club, cricket pitches and a pavilion. The 117-storey tower would have contained 290 apartments, some overlooking the Arabian Sea.

HDFC Property Fund invested {{INR}}500 crore to acquire a 10% stake in Lodha World Towers project in 2010. World View and World Crest
There are two other towers under this project:
- World View: a 73 floor skyscraper with a height of {{convert|277.6|m|ft|0|abbr=on}}. Construction of the tower began in 2015, and was completed in 2020.{{CTBUH Skyscraper Center|id=16252| title=World View| access-date=3 June 2021}} As of 2024, the tower is the 5th tallest building in India.
