Reception
GamesRadar awarded World War One 7 out of 10, highlighting the vast game map of Europe, and the depth of diplomatic, economic and political options. The text-based tutorial was criticised, as was the slow AI and dull, uninformative combat results.{{cite web|url=http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/world-war-one/review/world-war-one/a-2008121914235875032/g-2008121914748666091|title=World War One - Review|date=Dec 19, 2008|author=David Brown|work=PC Zone UK|publisher=Games Radar|quote=If you can get past the inhospitable veneer, you'll be drawn into a massive time sink, with so many outcomes you'll probably never exhaust them. That's if you have the patience to get that far.}} IGN commented that "whatever joys might be found in the setting or the game design are still obscured by incomplete documentation, a clumsy interface and a number of bugs".http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/943/943069p1.html IGN IT Reviews said the game had a "user-unfriendly interface, an impenetrable tutorial and a constant desire to crash and burn".http://www.itreviews.co.uk/games/g527.htm {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100430172645/http://www.itreviews.co.uk/games/g527.htm |date=2010-04-30 }} IT Reviews
