Video cards

Originally, XFX produced only Nvidia graphics cards; in 2009, XFX began manufacturing AMD (known as ATI at the time) graphics cards.{{cite web|url=https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2008/12/xfx-adds-amd-video-cards-to-its-wares/|title= XFX adds AMD video cards to its wares|last=McGlaun|first=Shaun|work=Ars Technica|date=2008-12-17|accessdate=2025-01-01}} XFX continued selling mid-range Nvidia cards through early 2010,{{cite web|url=https://www.techpowerup.com/118821/xfx-abandons-geforce-gtx-400-series?cp=4|title=XFX Abandons GeForce GTX 400 Series|author=|work=TechPowerUp|date=2010-03-30|accessdate=2025-01-01}} then ceased producing any Nvidia graphics cards in October 2010.{{cite web|url=https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/carl/xfx-speak-to-kitguru-no-more-nvidia-cards/|title=XFX speak to Kitguru – no more nVidia cards.|last=Muller|first=Carl|work=KitGuru|date=2010-10-11|accessdate=2025-01-01}}

= Warranty =

All XFX graphics cards sold in the US or Canada previously came with a "double-lifetime" warranty. This warranty gave lifetime coverage to the original buyer and a subsequent owner of the used graphics card. However, it was only valid if the card was registered with XFX directly within 30 days of purchase. In January 2012, with the introduction of its Radeon HD 7970 graphics cards, XFX silently discontinued the program, stating it was no longer profitable nor sustainable.{{Cite web|url = http://www.techpowerup.com/159346/xfx-discontinues-double-lifetime-warranty-with-new-radeon-graphics-cards.html|title = XFX Discontinues Double Lifetime Warranty with New Radeon Graphics Cards|date = January 25, 2012|website = TECHPOWERUP}}

=Overclocked cards=

In addition to reference clocked graphic units, XFX also supplies overclocked graphic units. This is targeted at the enthusiast market and those who may be unfamiliar with overclocking. These overclocked cards are often sold alongside cards with standard clocks at a slightly higher price. Overclocked systems are commonly designated with the names "Extreme Edition", "XXX Edition", "Black Edition" or "Alpha Dog Edition".

=Fatal1ty video cards=

In 2006, XFX made an agreement to use the name of a computer tournament game player, Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, on a division of graphics cards.{{cite press release | url = http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=7443 | title = Introducing the GeForce 7600 GT Fatal1ty Professional Series Video Card | date = 2006-12-12 | access-date = 2009-12-11 }} The Fatal1ty branding was eventually dropped.{{when|date=January 2025}}

Power supplies

XFX began selling power supplies in 2009, with their first unit being an 850w model under the branding "Black Edition".{{Cite web |url=http://www.xfxforce.com/en-gb/NewsAndReviews/News.aspx?Year=2009 |title=News / Press |access-date=2010-03-15 |archive-date=2011-07-18 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110718131230/http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/newsandreviews/news.aspx?year=2009 |url-status=dead }} XFX exclusively uses Seasonic topologies in their power supplies.{{cite web|url=https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/xfx-xtr-850-gold-psu,4581.html|title=XFX XTR Series 850W PSU Review|last=Mpitziopoulos|first=Aris|work=Tom's Hardware|date=2016-06-20|accessdate=2025-01-01}}
