Yttrium arsenide is an inorganic compound of yttrium and arsenic with the chemical formula YAs. It can be prepared by reacting yttrium and arsenic at high temperature.{{cite journal|journal=Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry|volume=15|issue=1–2|language=en|date=1960-09-01|pages=199–201|doi=10.1016/0022-1902(60)80038-3|url=https://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/0022190260800383|title=Structure and electrical properties of some new rare earth arsenides, antimonides and tellurides|accessdate=2021-09-09|last1=Brixner|first1=Lothar H.|url-access=subscription}} Some literature has done research on the eutectic system of it and zinc arsenide.Mirzaakhmedov, M.; Khuseinov, B.; Pishchikov, D. It reacts with iron, iron(III) arsenide, iron(III) oxide and yttrium(III) fluoride (for doping) at high temperature to obtain superconducting material YFeAsO0.9F0.1 (Tc=10.2 K).{{cite journal | last1=Chong | first1=S V | last2=Mochiji | first2=T | last3=Kadowaki | first3=K | title=Superconductivity in yttrium iron oxyarsenide system | journal=Journal of Physics: Conference Series | publisher=IOP Publishing | volume=150 | issue=5 | date=2009-03-01 | issn=1742-6588 | doi=10.1088/1742-6596/150/5/052036 | page=052036 | arxiv=0808.0288 | bibcode=2009JPhCS.150e2036C | s2cid=250692964 }}
