Menus are translated into multiple languages.{{Cite web |title=yudit - Fedora Packages |url=https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/yudit/yudit/index.html |access-date=2025-05-21 |website=packages.fedoraproject.org}}{{Cite web |title=T2 package - editors/yudit - A free (Y)unicode text editor for all unices |url=https://t2sde.org/packages/yudit |access-date=2025-05-21 |website=t2sde.org}}
The developer states that "since the early days of Unicode on Linux", support has improved making future versions of the program unlikely, though documentation may be updated.
It supports simultaneous processing of many languages, input methods, conversions for local character standards etc. It has facilities for entering text in all languages with only an English keyboard, using keyboard configuration maps.{{cite web | url=https://tldp.org/HOWTO/Indic-Fonts-HOWTO/apps.html | title=Applications with Devanagri }}
