The Yunnan Provincial People's Government ({{zh|s=云南省人民政府}}) is the local administrative agency of Yunnan. It is officially elected by the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress and is formally responsible to the {{ill|Yunnan Provincial People's Congress|zh|云南省人民代表大会}} and its {{ill|Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress|zh|云南省人民代表大会常务委员会|lt=Standing Committee}}. Under the country's one-party system, the governor is subordinate to the secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. History

The Yunnan Provincial People's Government traces its origins to the {{ill|Yunnan Provincial Military and Political Commission|zh|云南省军政委员会}}, founded in December 1949. Its name was changed to Yunnan Provincial People's Committee ({{zh|s=云南省人民委员会|labels=no}}) in April 1955 and subsequently Yunnan Provincial Revolutionary Committee ({{zh|s=云南省革命委员会|labels=no}}) in August 1968 during the Cultural Revolution.{{Cite web |title=【追光人大·足迹】人民代表大会制度在云南的建立和初期实践 |url=https://www.ynrd.gov.cn/html/2024/zgrdzj_1211/4030871.html |access-date=2025-02-23 |website=www.ynrd.gov.cn}} It reverted to its former name of Guizhou Provincial People's Government in December 1979.
