The {{nihongo|Yuwaku Onsen|湯涌温泉}} is a hot spring resort in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

History

As with several other hot spring resorts in the area, Yuwaku Onsen claims to have been founded in the Nara period by a paper-maker who followed an injured white heron and discovered that it was healing itself in the warm waters. This gives it a history of 1,300 years.{{Cite web|last=Kelts|first=Roland|date=2017-10-22|title=Anime tourism invites overseas fans to join festivities|url=https://www.japantimes.co.jp/culture/2017/10/22/general/anime-tourism-invites-overseas-fans-join-festivities/|access-date=2020-07-08|work=The Japan Times}}

The onsen was developed by the Maeda clan of Kaga Domain in the Edo period. In the Meiji period, the painter Takehisa Yumeji was a visitor.{{Cite web|last=日本経済新聞社・日経BP社|date=2019-11-03|title=夢二が愛したロマンの湯・湯涌|トラベル|NIKKEI STYLE|url=https://style.nikkei.com/article/DGXMZO93868980R11C15A1000000?channel=DF140920160949|access-date=2020-07-08|work=NIKKEI STYLE}}
