Zephyranthes subg. Zephyranthes is a subgenus of the genus Zephyranthes in the amaryllis family of flowering plants.

Description

=Vegetative characteristics=

Species in the genus are bulbous, 4–50 cm tall plants with or ovoid, globose, or pyriform bulbs. The 1–2 flowered inflorescence bears actinomorphic or zygomorphic flowers. The stigma is trifid to trilobed. The capsule fruit bears papery, black, flat, sometimes winged seeds.
