Zoom Tour Live was a one-off concert performed by the Electric Light Orchestra recorded originally for television, later released as a film.

History

After the release of the 2001 album Zoom, Jeff Lynne announced a North American tour, their first live set of concerts in 15 years. A promotional PBS show was recorded over two consecutive nights, May 23 & 24, 2001 at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. The Zoom album was officially released two weeks later, on 12 June 2001.

ELO's management abruptly cancelled the tour (initially due to slow ticket sales, and then because of travel complications worldwide following the 911 terror attacks on 11 September 2001) and this footage was released on VHS and DVD by Image Entertainment. The DVD earned Platinum status in Australia and the UK.

Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy were the only band members returning from the original incarnation of ELO.

All songs played on tour, except "Rock 'n' Roll Is King" and "All She Wanted", were released on either the Electric Light Orchestra Live album{{cite web|url=http://elo.biz/news/130471 |title=2013 TO BRING THREE MORE RELEASES FROM JEFF LYNNE AND ELO AS PART OF ELO'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY : elo |publisher=Elo.biz |access-date=3 March 2013}} or the Zoom Tour Live VHS/DVD.{{cite web|title=Electric Light Orchestra Featuring Jeff Lynne – Zoom Tour Live|url=http://www.discogs.com/Electric-Light-Orchestra-Featuring-Jeff-Lynne-Zoom-Tour-Live/release/2121247|website=Discogs|publisher=Discogs|access-date=14 July 2014}}

The camera coverage of ELO's comeback tour in 2001 was directed by Lawrence Jordan.
