alpha-v beta-5

αVβ5 is a type of integrin that binds to matrix macromolecules and proteinases and thereby stimulates angiogenesis. However, it inhibits angiogenesis.{{cite journal | author = Sheppard D | title = Endothelial integrins and angiogenesis: not so simple anymore | journal = J. Clin.
