The anterior colliculus is the anterior portion of the medial malleolus of the distal tibia,{{cite web | url=http://www.wheelessonline.com/ortho/the_ankle_joint | title=Wheeless Online | accessdate=30 October 2014}} forming part of the ankle mortise. It has an attachment of the anterior tibiotalar ligament.
