Williamsonia is a genus of small dragonflies in the family Corduliidae. They are commonly known as boghaunters. Unlike other genera of emerald dragonflies, they have dark eyes and nonmetallic bodies.{{cite book|last=Paulson|first=Dennis R.|title=Dragonflies and Damselflies of the West|year=2009|publisher=Princeton University Press|isbn=0-691-12281-4}} The genus was established by entomologist John June Davis and named after the American banker and amateur odonatologist Edward Bruce Williamson.
