Bromine perchlorate is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula {{chem2|BrClO4|auto=1}}. Its structure is {{chem2|Br\sO\sClO3}}. It is a shock and light-sensitive red liquid which decomposes above −20 °C.{{cite journal |author1=Carl J. Schack |author2=Karl O. Preparation and reactions
Bromine perchlorate can be produced from the reaction of cesium perchlorate and bromine fluorosulfate at −20 °C:
:{{chem2|CsClO4 + BrSO3F → BrOClO3 + CsSO3F}}
Alternatively, it can also be produced by the reaction of chlorine perchlorate and bromine at -45 °C. Bromine perchlorate reacts with hydrogen bromide to regenerate bromine:
:{{chem2|BrOClO3 + HBr → Br2 + HClO4}}
This compound also reacts with cesium perchlorate, to produce {{chem2|Cs+[Br(ClO4)2]-}} (caesium diperchloratobromate(I)), and various fluorocarbon halides, to produce fluoroalkyl perchlorates.{{cite journal |author1=Carl J.
