Butachlor is a herbicide of the acetanilide class.{{citation | url = https://sitem.herts.ac.uk/aeru/ppdb/en/Reports/101.htm | title = PPDB| access-date = 2019-10-03}}. It is used as a selective pre-emergent herbicide to control annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds.
