Cefoselis is a fourth generation cephalosporin. It is used extensively in Japan and China in the clinical treatment of various gram positive and gram negative infections. A 2014 study illustrated that Cefoselis is effective at treating respiratory and urinary tract infections.{{Cite web |date=2014-07-10 |title=Multicenter, double-blind, randomized clinical trial of parenterally administered Cefoselis versus Cefepime for the treatment of acute bacterial infections |url=https://www.europeanreview.org/article/7597 |access-date=2022-08-03 |website=European Review |language=en}}
