The lateral condyle is the lateral portion of the upper extremity of tibia.{{cite book |last1=Standring |first1=Susan |title=Gray's anatomy: the anatomical basis of clinical practice |year=2016 |publisher=Elsevier Limited |isbn=978-0-7020-5230-9 |pages=1314–1333 |edition=41}}
It serves as the insertion for the biceps femoris muscle (small slip). Most of the tendon of the biceps femoris inserts on the fibula.
