Monochlamydae is an artificial taxonomic group{{citation |chapter-url=http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/Monochlamydeae |chapter=Monochlamydeae |title=The Free Dictionary by Farlex (incorporating an article from The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (1979)}} used in the identification of plants. It was largely abandoned by taxonomists in the 19th century, but has been often used since.
