{{Desalination}}
Multiple-effect humidification (MEH) is a method used for thermal desalination of sea water. It uses multiple evaporation–condensation cycles at separate temperature levels to minimize the total energy consumption of solar humidification processes.{{cite web | url=http://mediatum2.ub.tum.de/node?id=601861 | title=Multiple Effect Humidification Dehumidification at ambient pressure: Optimisation and applications | publisher=Technical University of Munich | year=2002 | accessdate=October 25, 2012 | author=Müller-Holst, Hendrik | language=German, English}}
