Netball at the Commonwealth Games, together with the Netball World Cup, is one of the two major tournaments in international netball. All the major netball playing nations are members of the Commonwealth of Nations. It was first played in 1990 as a demonstration sport. It has been an official Commonwealth Games sport since 1998. Australia have been the tournament's most successful team, winning four gold medals. New Zealand have won two gold medals. Between 1998 and 2014, Australia and New Zealand contested every final and won every gold and silver medal between them. In 2018, England became only the third team to both reach the final and win the gold medal. {{Cite web|url=https://netball.sport/commonwealth-games|title=Commonwealth Games|work=International Netball Federation|accessdate=20 July 2021}}{{Cite web|url=http://www.todor66.com/others/Netball/Commonwealth/index.html|title=Women Netball Commonwealth Games Archive 1990-2018|publisher=www.todor66.com|accessdate=8 July 2021}}{{cite news|url=https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/apr/19/my-favourite-game-australia-v-england-2018-commonwealth-games-netball-final|title=My favourite game: Australia v England, 2018 Commonwealth Games netball final|publisher=www.theguardian.com|date=18 April 2020|access-date=20 July 2021}}
