Competitions

Malawi's three regions – Central Region, Southern Region and Northern Region – all have regional leagues. The top teams from the regions played in two national competitions, the Presidential Championship and the Champions League. The latter competition was launched in 2013 and was sponsored by GOtv Africa. It initially featured the top teams from Blantyre and Lilongwe but in 2015 it was expanded to included teams from Mzuzu. In 2014 and 2017 the Champions League used Fast5 netball rules in order to help the Malawi national netball team prepare for the 2014 and 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series tournaments.{{cite web|url=https://www.mbc.mw/news/sports/item/4688-gotv-netball-champions-league-returns|title=GOtv Netball Champions League returns|publisher=www.mbc.mw|accessdate=13 July 2020|date=26 July 2017}}{{cite web|url=https://www.mwnation.com/gotv-withdraws-netball-sponsorship/|title=GOtv withdraws netball sponsorship|publisher=www.mwnation.com|accessdate=14 July 2020|date=20 October 2018}}{{cite web|url=https://www.nyasatimes.com/gotv-netball-launch-set-august-26/|title=GoTV netball launch set for August 26|publisher=www.nyasatimes.com|accessdate=13 July 2020|date=13 August 2017}}{{cite web|url=https://www.nyasatimes.com/gotv-netball-champions-league-rocks-mzuzu-city/|title=GOtv Netball Champions league rocks Mzuzu City|publisher=www.nyasatimes.com|accessdate=13 July 2020|date=13 September 2017}}{{cite web|url=https://www.mwnation.com/sponsorship-boom-spurs-cr-netball/|title=Sponsorship boom spurs CR netball|publisher=www.mwnation.com|accessdate=14 July 2020|date=26 December 2017}}{{cite web|url=https://www.maravipost.com/presidential-netball-kicks-off-in-blantyre-as-thunder-fails-to-strike-civo/|title=Presidential Netball kicks off in Blantyre as Thunder fails to strike Civo|publisher=www.maravipost.com|accessdate=13 July 2020|date=11 January 2019}}{{cite web|url=https://www.kulinji.com/article/sports/netball/2019/rainbow-ups-stakes-bt-and-districts-netball|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20190709164912/http://kulinji.com/article/sports/netball/2019/rainbow-ups-stakes-bt-and-districts-netball|url-status=usurped|archive-date=9 July 2019|title=Rainbow ups stakes in BT and Districts Netball|publisher=www.kulinji.com|accessdate=10 July 2020|date=1 June 2019}}
