Nocardicin A is a monocyclic β-lactam antibiotic included in the monobactam subclass. It is obtained from the fermentation broth of a strain of actinomycetes Nocardia uniformis subsp. tsuyamenensis as a metabolic product catalyzed by the enzyme nocardicin-A epimerase. It is stereochemically and biologically related to penicillin and cephalosporins.{{cite web |title=Nocardicin A |url=https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Nocardicin-A#:~:text=Nocardicin%20A%20is%20a%20dicarboxylic%20acid%2C%20a%20D-serine,nocardicin%20A%20%281-%29%20and%20a%20nocardicin%20A%20%282-%29. |website=pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov |access-date=12 March 2023 |language=en}}{{cn|date=March 2023}}
