The Old Central Government Offices was home to many of the Hong Kong Government's departments from 1847 to 1954. Built in 1847 as the Old Secretariat Building,{{cite web|title=Heritage Impact Assessment|work=LWK Conservation Ltd|url=http://www.amo.gov.hk/form/159meeting/AAB%2040%202011-12%20%28Annex%20C%29.pdf|accessdate=11 October 2014|url-status=dead|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20141031045705/http://www.amo.gov.hk/form/159meeting/AAB%2040%202011-12%20%28Annex%20C%29.pdf|archivedate=31 October 2014}} it was also home to the territory's Legislative Council from the 1930s to 1954.{{citation needed|date=January 2024}}

The two-storey colonial building was demolished in 1954 to make way for the new Central Government Offices.{{citation needed|date=January 2024}}
