Orzotto ({{IPA|it|orˈdzɔtto}}) is an Italian dish similar to risotto, but made with pearl barley instead of rice. Orzotti are a speciality of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy.{{Cite web |url=http://italianfood.about.com/od/northerncuisines/p/cucregfvg.htm |title=La Cucina del Friuli Venezia Giulia |access-date=2011-12-07 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120406115755/http://italianfood.about.com/od/northerncuisines/p/cucregfvg.htm |archive-date=2012-04-06 |url-status=dead }}{{Cite web |title=La Cucina del Friuli Venezia Giulia |url=http://italianfood.about.com/od/northerncuisines/p/cucregfvg.htm |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120406115755/http://italianfood.about.com/od/northerncuisines/p/cucregfvg.htm |archive-date=2012-04-06 }}

The name is a portmanteau of orzo (the Italian word for barley) and risotto. This should not be confused with orzo, otherwise known as risoni, a type of wheat pasta formed into shapes resembling barley grains.{{Cite web | url=http://www.chefbikeski.com/?p=641 | title=Orzotto con Funghi e Rucola| date=2011-03-21}}

Outside Italy, the term commonly refers to a risotto-style dish made with orzo (pasta).{{cite news |title=Orzotto is Simpler than Risotto |author=Elaine Louie |url=https://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/30/dining/30vege.html |newspaper=The New York Times |date=September 29, 2009 |accessdate=2023-04-12}}
