pudendal plexus (nerves)

The pudendal plexus is a term used for a compound structure consisting of sacral spinal nerves.

Some sources describe it as S2-S4 of the lumbosacral plexus.{{cite book |author1=Yokochi, Chihiro|author2=Rohen, Johannes W.|author2-link=Rohen, Johannes W.|title=Color Atlas of Anatomy: A Photographic Study of the Human Body |year=2006 |publisher=Lippincott Williams & Wilkins |location=Hagerstown, MD |isbn=0-7817-9013-1 |page=471}}

In some older texts, it is a rough approximation of the coccygeal plexus.{{cite web |url=http://education.yahoo.com/reference/gray/subjects/subject/213#p966 |title=The Sacral and Coccygeal Nerves - Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body - Yahoo! Education |access-date=2007-11-24 }}
