In anatomy, a resilium is part of the shell of certain bivalve mollusks. It is an internal ligament, which holds the two valves together and is located in a pit or depression known as the resilifer.

The resilium is part of the hinge mechanism in certain taxonomic families of bivalve shells, such as oysters and scallops.{{cite web |title=Bivalves - General Morphology |url=http://paleo.cortland.edu/tutorial/Bivalves/bivalvemorph.htm |publisher=Paleontological Laboratory at SUNY Cortland |access-date=13 October 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200129012821/http://paleo.cortland.edu/tutorial/Bivalves/bivalvemorph.htm |archive-date=29 January 2020}}{{cite web |last1=Leal |first1=J.H. |title=Bivalves |url=http://www.shellmuseum.org/BivalvesLeal.pdf |publisher=Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum |access-date=13 October 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20040410101837/http://www.shellmuseum.org/BivalvesLeal.pdf |archive-date=10 April 2004}}{{cite web |author1=Dr. Burt Carter |title=Invertebrate Paleobiology on-line syllabus on Bivalves |url=http://itc.gsw.edu/faculty/bcarter/paleo/labs/moll/biv2.htm |publisher=Georgia Southwestern State University |access-date=13 October 2021 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200225231137/http://itc.gsw.edu:80/faculty/bcarter/paleo/labs/moll/biv2.htm |archive-date=25 February 2020}} A resilium (and the resilifer, its associated contact point) is the primary structure comprising the type of bivalve hinge that is known as an "disodont" hinge.
