A seeder is a stamp-type leatherworking tool used in leather carving. It is predominantly used in floral designs to represent the seeds in the center of a flower, hence the name.{{Cite web |title=Leatherworking Beginner's Guide |url=https://elktracksstudio.com/pages/leatherworking-beginners-guide |access-date=2022-03-02 |website=Elktracks Studio |language=en}} Similar to other stamp-type tools, it is held vertically over the leather and struck with a wooden or rawhide mallet to create an impression in the surface of the leather. The seeder creates a small circular impression, often similar to an asterisk with a hole in the center.{{Cite book |last=Byrd |first=Luke |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=HA4gEAAAQBAJ&dq=leatherworking+seeder&pg=PA58 |title=Leather Working Book for Beginners: A Leather Crafting Starter Handbook of 15 Leather Craft Projects Plus Tips, Tools and Techniques to Get You Started |date=2021-02-25 |publisher=Luke Byrd |pages=58 |language=en}}
