Sweta is a genus of leafhopper in the subfamily Typhlocybinae, with two species. The genus name is derived from the Sanskrit word for white, the type species {{lang|la|S. hallucinata}} being predominantly whitish. The genus has an elongate pronotum which is unusual in Typhlocybinae and seen only in the Signoretiinae.{{Cite journal|author1=Viraktamath, C.A. |author2=Dietrich, C.H. |name-list-style=amp |year=2011|title=A remarkable new genus of Dikraneurini (Hemiptera: Cicadomorpha: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae) from Southeast Asia|journal=Zootaxa|volume=2931|pages=1–7|doi=10.11646/zootaxa.2931.1.1 |url=http://mapress.com/zootaxa/2011/f/zt02931p007.pdf|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20111224211638/http://mapress.com/zootaxa/2011/f/zt02931p007.pdf|archive-date=24 December 2011|url-status=live}} A second species {{lang|la|Sweta bambusana}} was described from China in 2012.{{cite journal|title=First record of the leafhopper genus Sweta Viraktamath & Dietrich (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Typhlocybinae) from China, with description of one new species feeding on bamboo|author1=Yang, Lin |author2=Xiang-Sheng Chen |author3=Zi-Zhong Li |journal= ZooKeys |issue=187|pages=35–43 |year=2012|doi=10.3897/zookeys.187.2805 |pmid=22577328 |pmc=3345901|doi-access=free }}
