Circle K is not HQ’d in AZ
CK was purchased by Canadian firm Alimentation Couche-Tard at least 15 years ago, HQ is in Canada now. 75.167.204.115 (talk) 13:23, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
Merge proposal
I propose merging Politics of the Arizona Borderlands into Arizona because I do not believe that this article is notable on its own. The context of Politics of the Arizona Borderlands can easily be explained in the context of Arizona, and merging the two would not create any article size or weighting problems. :I don't think this is a good idea. There might be enough material for a :Politics of Arizona article instead, which could cover the political history of this relatively minor U.S. State. Dimadick (talk) 07:49, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
::This article has brought together some interesting aspects that don't neatly fit into the Arizona article. I do think the article is notable on its own. Continuing to improve and eventually morphing into the Politics of Arizona is a good idea. I am proposing the article title be changed to Arizona Borderlands and continue to describe the unique aspects of the area of Arizona. Cheers, 〜 Adflatuss • talk 14:14, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
:::I do think it is a challenge that we have not addressed the political and cultural dynamics of the border on Arizona. We have some other specific items like the same sex marriage and civil unions in the law and government section. We could benefit from a section on the border in the Arizona article.
:::That said, it would be a little awkward to for instance wholesale merge this article which highlights the Tohono O'odham (and maybe eventually the Pascua Yacqui and the Quechan) while the other tribes are left as mere mentions in the state-wide page. AtlasHarbor (talk) 14:52, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
