Based on his book "Out of Place" he mentions clearly that he went to Cairo VC and not alexandria VC , and he distinctly never went to school with King Hussein of Jordan

An image of The Motherland is included in post-colonial studies section. While it is possible that the painting is a metaphor for colonialism, the painting itself is probably not a focus of post-colonial studies, and including it here is misleading/inappropriate.
