::That is by design as this template does not support such a parameter. Based on your edit history, I assume you see this issue with the Esalen Institute article (otherwise I would have to search in {{clc|Pages using infobox institute with unknown parameters}}). Parameters for motto, mission and focus should be deprecated ASAP, as per {{tl|Infobox organization}} where they have been removed per WP:MISSION. This is especially true for advocacy organisations, as their mission statements are often Orwellian - e.g. quack medical institutions that frame their work as health advocacy. • Strongly support deprecation institutions, like people (after all, they are run by people) normally state their views to sound as attractive/enticing as possible, sometimes even to hide their real views. Political and advocacy organisations of all kinds are particularly prone to do this, although that's also true of a lot of organisations which is why it's deprecated in that infobox. Needs an enry for "chairwoman." In Linus Pauling Institute, Emily Ho is not a "chairman."
