::That is by design as this template does not support such a parameter. Based on your edit history, I assume you see this issue with the Esalen Institute article (otherwise I would have to search in {{clc|Pages using infobox institute with unknown parameters}}). I resolved the issue by removing the unsupported parameter from the Esalen Institute article. 50.53.1.33 (talk) 12:36, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
Parameters to be deprecated
Parameters for motto, mission and focus should be deprecated ASAP, as per {{tl|Infobox organization}} where they have been removed per WP:MISSION. This is especially true for advocacy organisations, as their mission statements are often Orwellian - e.g. quack medical institutions that frame their work as health advocacy. Guy (help!) 12:54, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support deprecation These seem to me to be an extension of an organisation's marketing material, and they don't give the reader a better understanding of the subject, so we don't need to be giving them a platform. GirthSummit (blether) 13:29, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- Strongly support deprecation institutions, like people (after all, they are run by people) normally state their views to sound as attractive/enticing as possible, sometimes even to hide their real views. Political and advocacy organisations of all kinds are particularly prone to do this, although that's also true of a lot of organisations which is why it's deprecated in that infobox. - {{re|JzG|Girth Summit}} and can we also get rid of "non-profit slogan" while we're at it, see [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Heartland_Institute&action=edit§ion=0&summary=/*%20top%20*/%20 this] as an example. Doug Weller talk 14:22, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- :{{u|Doug Weller}}, oh $DEITY yes. Guy (help!) 15:56, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- :{{u|Doug Weller}}, I'd actually get rid of all slogans, mottos etc from all info boxes on the same grounds - they tell us nothing useful about the subject, they just serve as an extension of the subject's marketing material. GirthSummit (blether) 16:22, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- :{{re|Girth Summit|JzG}} RfC? Village Pump Policy? Doug Weller talk 17:23, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- ::{{u|Doug Weller}}, seems reasonable to me. Guy (help!) 09:23, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Map
Any way to add a map to this template? Liverpoolpics (talk) 11:52, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Chairwoman
Needs an enry for "chairwoman." In Linus Pauling Institute, Emily Ho is not a "chairman."
