The thornback skate (Dentiraja lemprieri) is a species of skate of the family Rajidae. A bottom-dwelling fish, it is endemic to Australia, occurring in relatively shallow waters from near-shore to 170 metres.{{cite web|last1=Froese|first1=R.|last2=Pauly|first2=D.|title=Dentiraja lemprieri, Thornback skate|url=http://www.fishbase.org/summary/24081|website=FishBase|publisher=World Wide Web electronic publication}} The thornback skate can grow up to 52 cm long.
