The two-section staff or changxiaobang ({{zh|c=長小棒|p=cháng xiǎo bàng|l=long/short pole}}) is a versatile weapon which originated in China from the ancient Shaolin temple and Shaolin martial arts. It is a flail-type weapon which consists of a long staff with a shorter rod attached by a chain, to serve as a cudgel.{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=XSLRCQAAQBAJ&dq=Two-section+staff&pg=PA213|isbn = 9781329119420|author = Sensei Nathan Chlumsky|title = Inside Kungfu: Chinese Martial Arts Encyclopedia|date = 6 May 2015|publisher = Lulu.com}}
