Bio

I'm a computer geek in Oklahoma, currently writing distributed document image processing in a heterogeneous language environment on Unix. The languages involved are Java and C++; Java to interface with the customer's web server, and C++ because image processing in Java is infinitely slow.

Wikihistory

I've been contributing to Wikipedia since April 2004, first with no account (from [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=63.68.159.2 this] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=205.162.232.18 this] IP) and later under this user ID.

My primary contributions are in the fields of firearms and ballistics, with sailing, science fiction, and of course a few computer related articles making up most of the rest.

Very nice page that you authored on PO Ackley. This was long overdue. I had been trying to get authoritative information on his life and work but I was unsuccessful in my efforts. Congratulations on an excellent contribution to WP! NDM (talk) 03:26, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
